As many of you are aware the BOM have lowered the temperatures for the weekend from the initial 35degrees.
The latest advice is that Saturday, 30degrees, Saturday and 28degrees, Sunday.
This then means it comes under the FSA heat policy, allowing us to revert to the original fixtures released.
We now pass along a massive thank you to George at FSA and the FSA referee’s association for their
assistance and agreeance to proceed.
Especially the referees because they had arrangements with parents to monitor their children for
night games, as well as be with them during the 5-hour break on Saturday. Because this will now
change, they have spent many hours and dollars ringing parents as well as revising all the appointments
allocated to the amended fixtures.
Having said all of that it is now my pleasure to announce that we are reverting back to the original
fixtures sent out (link below) with one proviso. If the temperature reaches the cut off limit of 32 degrees,
any games scheduled to be played after this will be declared a draw. We know this is not ideal but
they are the conditions of allowing the event to go ahead.
Also again, please be mindful that even 30degrees can be vey harmful so be sure to keep your
players hydrated and to wear appropriate head ware between games and us suncream.
